Galvanized steel coil

Hot-dip galvanised steel coil (GI) is made by passing a fully hardened steel sheet, which has undergone a pickling and rolling process, through a zinc pot, thereby coating the surface with a zinc film. Due to the properties of zinc, it offers excellent corrosion resistance, paintability and workability. Typically, the process and specifications for hot dip galvanised steel sheet and galvanised steel coil are essentially the same.

Galvanised steel coil applications:

Galvanised steel coil has a wide range of applications and has the advantage of a long corrosion resistance period. It is mainly used as a building and substrate for household appliances, office panels, roofing panels, automotive panels, and pre-painted steel coils.

Automotive Steel Sheet

To use automotive steel sheets must first be stamped and formed, the steel sheets are stamped into parts of the desired shape and size.

Galvanised Roof Panels

The performance requirements for galvanised roof panels mainly include the mechanical properties of the material (tensile strength, yield strength, elongation), the coating properties (type of coating, coating thickness and coating adhesion)

Home Appliance Office Board

Including air conditioners, washing machines, refrigerators, photocopiers, etc. Household galvanised sheets are mainly used for general forming applications and stamping.

Substrate

Another use for galvanised steel coils is as a substrate for pre-painted steel coils. Pre-painted steel coils are more durable than galvanised coils as they have a polyethylene coating.
